To the tower, Rapunzel!

Don't let it be said that I spend all my time growling FORTY SEVEN PRIMS???? over and over, mind you.

Yeah, Caleb had three sets of couches that nobody sat it that were 47 prims heavy. EACH!

I said something, and the man moves like lightning. Not only did he find couches that were less than a third of that total, but they were much swankier couches.

See? Swank happens!

I did a top-down walkthrough of the tower the other day, and putting the Greer Gallery on the bottom open space wasn't quite working out.

So, I moved it inside the clocktower area...

I'm sure I'll come up with a more interesting arrangement/maze to feature the paintings and photographs. Right now they're in inventory order, but I'll work up some signage and labels at some point.

I wonder if I've fixed the notecards in these suckers, too. Old inventory referred to some place called... SoHo? Matzohenge?

Where the Greer Gallery used to be, I've moved my snapshot slideshows into what I'd consider to be my version of Hannibal Lecter's memory palace:

The walls are animated, dynamic, frightening, and (as Caleb puts it) a nightmare of contrast.

Then there's my office:

Yeah, I forgot to pay the gravity bill.

You see, Second LifeŽ lets you do these kind of things, like a huge thump in the fabric of space-time capturing a moment of chaos. (Why the lights are upright and stable, well, that's another story.)

For the nitpicky, I ripped up the tile to expose the beautiful tile floor in the welcome center, closed off The Final Collar Of St. Edloe. reliquary, scraped off the golf leaf from the ceiling, and took the wood paneling off of the lovely stone walls:

It's not something I like to talk about, but let's just get it out in the open: I have an Orrery Fetish.

Sure, I can fly over to the SB Designs building on Los Arboles and marvel at the dance of the planets, but... but... but...

I MUST HAVE MY OWN! I CAN HAS ORRERY! ORLY? ORRERY? IT'S A TRAP!

Pardon me for a moment...

(cough)

The moon and earth textures are good projections I picked up on a Google search. I plan on adding Mars, a Magic 8 Ball, Saturn, Saturn, and a matzoh ball when I get good projections of those things, too.

Yes, matzoh ball. I have plenty of food photos and textures, but it's not simple to make a Mercator Projection of a matzoh ball. Try it sometime. Even if you get it working, your bubbie will smack you.

Oh, and when I get all those things swirling around, I'll also add Sammy Davis, Jr.'s glass eye. Caleb will get a kick out of that, I think.

A good Freudian would have a field day with that office and memory center!

I'm dying to see the eye of Sammy

Hello

Looks good! Very useful, good stuff. Good resources here. Thanks much!
