Based on the amount of effort they spent on it and how much they got out of it, was AOL's island the biggest flop on the grid?
As for what they've learned from the experience, did any of that translate into what that corporate media/entertainment behemoth has done with CNN?
Also, when AOL called to cancel the island, did they get as much of a hassle from Linden Lab as they've been known to give to their soon-to-be-ex-customers?
In a way, I kinda hope they did. Would serve them right.
But on the other hand, I'd rather they went through a pleasant and smooth termination process. So, God forbid, they might actually learn something.
