Neat build, but...

Bellagio in SL:

bellagio louis

Two security goons at the rezpoint:

Turn off your AOs!
Use our dances!
Have fun our way!
Do not build!
Do not fly!
This is PG, not Mature!

Blah blah blah blah.

When I was here enjoying Charley Inhen, they freaked out over my gear aura.

So, I'm just gonna sit and enjoy Louis. And if they don't like the windup key, well, I've been booted from worse places.

Sparkey Corleone (one of the goons):

Well that is a lovely thing to say about people that keeping the peace and make sure that you DO enjoy Louis. Your AO's, spam, builds, and scripted objects cause lag. Your foul language and chat spam prevent others from enjoying some of the best entertainment in SL. If you need to use and do those things for that hour, maybe it's best you go elsewhere. Most of our guests enjoy the fact that we are there watching out for people like you. Smiles and notices that you wouldn't give your name.... Sparkey Corleone, Security Manger for the Bellagio Hotel Sim

Hrm... wouldn't leave a name... hrm... I wonder where that would be?

Main page, upper right corner, perhaps?

Now that you've uncovered The Mystery Of The Badly Hidden Name, don't bother with adding my name to the sim's banlist - unless a friend teleports me by accident, won't be back.

Feel free to concentrating on sucking the life out of other patrons for your dollhouse under a bell jar.

*laughs* A PG Bellagio?

That's one of the best jokes on the grid, man.

Audree Lilliehook:

First of all, who pissed in YOUR wheaties, Mr. Mariner? Your little italicized "quotations" from the Bellagio Secondlife, gee, um, a smidge exagerated...it's not anything novel to have a sim insist that you keep the lag down, however, I have never been asked to remove an AO, nor have I been forced to dance...and it's not anything abnormal for a sim to not allow building or scripts, otherwise, it would be caled the Bellagio SandBox.
As for the security goons at rezpoint, they are there to greet you. They are there to help guide you to the event you are looking for...
A PG Bellagio may not be your ideal hot spot, however, a Bellagio that allows its patrons to walk around armed and spam chat with foul language is not MY idea of a good time either. The Bellagio Secondlife provides a classy atmosphere to enjoy entertainment and company, without the hassle of jerk-offs like yourself. And for you to publish false information about the Bellagio Secondlife, well, that makes *YOU* full of crap. Nuff said.

Armed? Bullshit, Audree. I don't go places armed.

And I don't hassle people.

As for foul language, better tell people not to say my name when saying hi. Better keep it to IMs.

Sheesh. Next thing you know, I'll be accused of being Hitler Youth.

I have to agree with Crap on this one. It's silly to expect people to "strip" down and all the other stuff that goes along with greeters, etc. It's just not gonna happen, or I personally leave.

Also places without adequate danceballs that have no build, etc. It all just says "we don't want you" to me.

I've never seen crap armed or hassling people he doesn't know. ;) Ever.

oh, and one more thing.. i've seen it from the other side, hosting events or operating a venue and watching lag kill everything. one way to combat that is to make avatars strip off everything and hassle them (and get mad and act like RL rentacops in the process). another way is to try to optimize the sim and then figure out what your limit on avatars is while still maintaining a halfway palatable experience.

BTW... it's been my experience that most people calling themselves "security" anything in SL are always heavy handed. the greeters doing the "strip yourself" routine always are too. and every time, when i meet up with one of those bozos, unless i'm with someone who really wants to stay, i say "have a nice life, dickhead" and leave.

Sheesh. Tempest in a toilet, folks.
