To The Max, To The Michelle

Busy night last night... in January, Max was battling [horrifying crippling disease] but has been running up and down stadium steps, lifting weights, and punching sides of beef in slaughterhouses to get back into shape for...

You know you're loved when your manager griefs you, eh.

My apologies to the folks who got blocked by the 70 avatar cap, but you know what? Johnny Come Lately ain't an avatar name.

Max had The Zone set up as an alternate location, and bless him for that, but as long as SL has avatar limits on sims through settings and performance degradation, a venue's gotta protect itself from crashing.

Max tinkered with Hallelujah for a bit, kept trying for it, then laughed and moved on... that kind of fun and playfulness with the music... giving something a shot, trying again.

Refreshing, man. Refreshing. Humans aren't clockwork... we aren't machines. We don't grind out product after product.

We explore. We play. We tinker. We sniff around the outside of our mouseholes and wonder... "Cheese?"

Right up after Max, Michelle and (Paper) Scott Dalziel had themselves a good time, even though I had a crashout and couldn't quite get all my slideshow textures out in time. (They did telegraph their songs well in advance for me to have a shot at it though.. I just need to get them back in a single folder like I had before some kind of burp or rollback or glitch or something)

Yes, the crowd thinned out a bit over the course of that hour, but I've got this to say to the folks who popped out - you missed out on some of the best, freshest music on the grid.

Maybe some folks crashed out, had to go do other things, were fed up with the lag from the build... whatever.

But folks popping out, well, I put a lot of thought into "Who would best follow Max on a night?" and "Who would be the best match with Michelle and Scott?"

Zak and Babblegrabble came to mind...Groucho with Max is an interesting acoustic combination... same with Mimi. Lyndon Heart... that's a good match with Scott and Michelle. PR Lovencraft... he's a bit busy (but keep an eye out for Sunday, folks) Throw in Cylindrian/Max possibly... thinking out loud again... Charley Inhen's family is already set for April 7...

But in my mind, with the energy they bring, Max leading into Michelle and Scott is a natural in my mind.

Apparently not in some others, which makes me wonder if those minds are diseased.

Or perhaps mine is.

Am i getting too worked up over this? Should I just shut the fuck up and smile?

Oh well. Shucky darn. Whatever.

In the end, I had a good time, the folks that stuck around had a good time, Max had a good time, Michelle and Scott had a good time, and we're going to have some good times in the coming days, weeks, months, years, and centuries that the clocktower grinds its gears alongside.

So, when I sleep the tower for a bit after Charley plays, I'll be open for some doubleheader suggestions... looking to mix and match styles, but come hell or high water, y'all are going to know the joy that I feel when I hear these folks play... play... PLAY!

(After all, you are but puny organic creatures, writhing in the mighty fist or The Windup Arm- SHOE SALE! *tp*)

Hrm... that sounded rather... creepy.
