Friendly Fire

After yesterday at work, I needed to have the ducts in my head blown out big time.

Case and Mac are a heavy-duty air compressor's worth of Rock and Roll, blasting out the day like the Pirates blasted out the latest scrub promoted from Round Rock by the Astros.

.Some snapshots from last night's kickass performance by Friendly Fire.

Of course, I realized too late that the Slowdance and Waltz danceballs on the gears were a touch... um... inappropriate for the hard rock that Case and Mac were grinding out, but what the hell, their crew comes armed for bear with headbanger chims.

I guess I need to put in my event plans a reminder to swap out dances based on the performer. I also need to change the danceball from its current position on a tesla coil sparkball... nobody ever sees that thing.

Totally spaced out there.

Some folks got a kick out of turning the floor invisible and phantom, and others kinda got pissed off.

Oh well. Live and learn.

(The first Dick I think of for their "You're A Dick!" finale is, of course, Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle. Guy's a total joke.)

Spence comes up to bat in two weeks, and I really want to add some more stuff to the build, shattering and crashing components, tossing in a few explosions and such.

Oh, and the billboard is in place. It's one of those things you have to see and cam around to catch the detail, I think.

Yeah, it's obnoxious and flashy and crazy.

But is it obnoxious, flashy and crazy enough?

Heh.
