Despite countless instances of harassment and Abuse Reports to clean up the offending material, Rabbi Writer continues acting in a very rude manner...

Whatever drives Rabbi Writer to obsess like this, well, I hope there's a cure for. I, for one, have found a mix of Jack Daniels and live music to be quite effective at staving off my own demons, voices, and vices.

But if there's not, then I hope he finds some other obsession to take up his time, such as chewing on a pet toy or raising funds to clean out the holes in bowling balls or something. (Ever looked in the hole of a bowling ball? Blech!)

I don't think he'll go away on his own. Bullies never do.

Thank you to those that have helped with trying to keep the peace. Should he or anyone else persist in harassing behavior, please file an Abuse Report for each relevant category that calmly states the infraction, cites any relevant TOS/AUP/CS, and provide a screen shot.

• Gigantic signs on parcels with nothing else but the sign are Unwanted advertisements. (regardless of the sign's content)
• The content of the sign may be Harassment - Defamation of group/individual.
• Any "follow hovertext" is a Harassment in the form of scripting.

Use your best judgment, and if you need assistance do not hesitate to ask for help.

Under no circumstance should you retaliate or waste time trying to engage in reasoning with the individual or individuals acting in an uncivilized manner. When asked to remove offending material in the past, they have not done so. Instead, they have responded in silence or argued about the material, hoping to provoke an angry response which they will try to use to defend themselves when faced with punishment.

The only acceptable behavior on their part is to stop and either find another location in which to constructively contribute to the virtual community at large or to simply cease operating in the virtual space altogether, and they have never done so willingly.

Just state your case, present the evidence, and then enjoy some live music or teach someone how to do something or build a sculpty mezuzzah out of one prim.

The saddest part of all of this is that the Rabbi Writer account was associated with The Holy City sim, a virtual reconstruction of The Temple with notecards and listening booths and other cool historical resources. (The kind of thing I'm hoping to see over at Rezzable's virtual reconstructions at Heritage Key, getting hungrier and hungrier with every blog post of historical material they post.)

When I was wandering Holy City sim, I was looking up resources on the web, pulling a book or two from the shelf. It was fascinating and I found the experience compelling.

How could someone go from an achievement like that to appearing to have no other purpose on the grid but to harass other Jews?

I wish he'd either go back to producing such compelling and spiritually uplifting content... or just go.
