Is it just me, or is this thing always at half-mast?

I moved the flag from the boathouse to the path... would be kinda bad for people diving off of the tree to impale themselves. (Or would it?)


It is an Edloe tradition that the main flag of the island is lowered to half-staff when news of a friend's cat dies.

A very old and sick stray was found laying in the ivy three years ago, and that became her name: Ivy.

Whatever her name was before, it is the name she leaves with.

When I saw a small black kitten in the shrubbery after the JoCo concert in March, I thought of Ivy and Lady In Red and thought "I'd better take this little squeaky in."

I'm pretty sure I did the right thing.
