Thankful

This is the junction between Woodbridge and Los Arboles.

running up that hill (23 out of 365)

Trill and Korii have worked magic, and everything folks are doing is moving forward.

And I'm running up that hill...

Okay, time to drag out the dirt... something just pisses me off big time.

So, Nowhereville had a discussion about Winter. It's how I run things... let the folks discuss, try to work out a consensus, sand off the rough ends, and you have a decision.

Most folks are okay-whatever, a few want snow, a few can live with or without it, but one vehement NO because of the beach theme and it's always too bright.

Big fight, but I work hard at an amenable compromise: Corona Beer commercial style holiday where it's Christmas in the tropics.

All agree, and a cold peace resumes. But soon after... "sore winner" syndrome. More snarking. And a threat to leave in email.

*sigh* I stuck to the founding principle that the majority cannot dominate and bully the minority, but the minority (or one) should have the honor to rethink their membership in a group that they do not feel connected with. If they wish to reconnect, all works out. If they don't and they're not pleasant or polite about it, then there's a problem.

Also, folks get maximum flexibility and access to get things done, but in a way where it's not just "My right to swing my fist ends at your face" but "Why would I want to swing my fist at your face and scare you? We're neighbors. We're friends. Hey, let's do something cool together."

The fist kept swinging.

Even more snarking and crap out on BlogHud. Souring things with the neighbors early as they work to make Los Arboles beautiful, functional, educational, and fun.

Every resident is a co-owner. We are supportive of what our neighbors are doing. If you don't like it because it's messing with what you've got going, let them know nicely and offer to help minimize the impact, but also be prepared to make adjustments or improvements so they have a great view, too.

But snide backstabbing? No. Not going to put up with that shit. YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!

I tried to be fair about it, but I let it slide for a long time.

Now I'm seeing that after all that drama over snow and Winter and themes... they've moved to a Winter sim.

All that shit. Sticking up for you because it was right, and you go and do that in the end?

The things that damn robot puts up with... just shit on my head a little more, GoSpeed, I think you missed a spot.

Good. Fucking. Riddance.

I'm thankful that you're GONE.

Yeah, I'm losing my cool over this.

*growl*

"RUNNING UP THAT HILL"
by Kate Bush

It doesn't hurt me
Do you want to feel how it feels
Do you want to know, know that it doesn't hurt me
Do you want to hear about the deal I'm making
You
It's you and me

And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building

Say if I only could oh...

You don't want to hurt me
But see how deep the bullet lies
Unaware I'm tearing you asunder
Oh there is thunder in our hearts
Is there so much hate for the ones we love
Tell me we both matter don't we
You
It's you and me
It's you and me, you won't be unhappy

And if I only could
I'd make a deal with god
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building

If I only could...

You
It's you and me
It's you and me, you won't be unhappy

Come on baby, come on darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
Come on angel, come on, come on darling
Let's exchange the experience, oh...

And if I only could
I'd make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems...

And if I only could
Be running up that hill
With no problems.
