WHAT IS THIS CRAP?

refusing to suffer fools since… since… when exactly did you get here?

Realizing again that end of the year top ten lists are stupid

Picking up plants...
Picking up plants...
Picking up plants...

Hrm. Someone showed up in my tree and is making crap jokes.

*ignore*

Picking up plants...
Picking up plants...

*sigh*

(logoff)

What now... what now... what now...

Ah. Meaningless lists!

I took down my blogroll from the site a while back because it was a pain in the ass to keep the URLs maintained and all. Plus, the side was getting code-heavy and I was wanting to streamline the appearance a bit. (It still grates on me.)

But with all the end-of-the-year bullshit about to flood the SL blog world, well, why not jump the gun and continue to add my garbage to it, right?

The easiest one to do would be a simple Top Ten SL Bloggers based on my own criteria: expressive, honesty, integrity, passion, reason, fairness, spunk, and diligence.

I fired up Google Reader, stared for a while, opened a notepad, and thought for a bit...

Aeonix Aeon - Will Burns can take an issue and wrestle it like an alligator without exhausting himself or the reader.

Carrie Lexington - Exploration of SL photography that's turned inward over time.

Chestnut Rau - Honest thoughts on Art and Beauty in SL.

Ciaran Laval - Fairly comments on major issues involving Labbie mis-steps and development.

Darrius Gothly - If something's up with Marketplace or a major feature, Darrius will be on it.

Honour McMillan - Explorer, photographer, and all-around doing-all-the-shit-I-don't-do-so-I-don't-have-do-do-it-er.

Inara Pey - Well-reasoned exploration and explanation of everything under the digital sun.

Natales Urriah - Keeps an eye on technical goings-on with the former office-hours, especially server changes.

Tateru Nino - The Lab may be a confusing black box that we hurl insults at and out comes even dumber decisions and changes, but Tateru often manages so see through the opaque exterior without completely going mad.

Whiskey Monday - How the hell she keeps it together, well, I have no idea. But I'm glad she does.

(For links, do I look like your momma? Google the names, you lazy fuckers.)

There. Ten. All excellent individuals when it comes to testing the waters, trustworthy and all.

Sure, there's no fashion bloggers or RPG bloggers or any of that up there. No Luna. No Harper. Which shouldn't surprise anyone, since I'm not into any of that.

Looking again... seems fair to me... these are the go-to people I trust when I'm trying to avoid forming my own opinion on something.

And then... I look down the list... and...

Oops. Forgot someone.

Eleven.

I keep looking... twelve... thirteen... botgirl... fourteen... fifteen... oh, wait - why is that blithering moron still here *delete*... sixteen...

The lesson to learn from this is that:

- Ten is just a number
- No wonder why my av is so fucking unfashionable
- Lists are lists, posts are posts
- A broken clock is right twice a day, but Hamlet's still a tool
- I'll do anything to avoid doing something useful, positive, and constructive on this site

Now piss off. It's Yabba Dabba Doo'clock here, and time to go home!
