Winter, Well?
I am really enjoying the features of FireStorm. Surprisingly stable. Still waiting for my first unexpected crash.
Can't quite understand the contact lists thing, even after watching the video, but I'm not going to bash it or anything. I'll just watch again, see when it clicks, and if it's useful, use it.
Yeah, Feline's right about pie menus and taking more clicks and such. But I don't mind an extra click there when I save so many with Quick Preferences and Windlight.
Rearranged some of the buttons, got the AO set up... one by one, get it done.
Still, there's a bit of oddness with texture loading. It's way slower than Phoenix on the uptake with many textures. So I guess I need to dig a bit to figure out the right settings to get those to load.
Until then...
I'll just be patient and take the snapshots when everything and everyone is loaded up.
Looking forward to refinements coming.
(And I'm not looking forward to the next major breakage caused by a Labbie "improvement" ... the "esoteric bug" in SH-2240 and SH-2276 was making me seriously doubt the Lab's ability to keep up with OpenGL and other fundamental technology changes. Won't take much for a bigger showstopper to grind it all to a halt, eh. Some days it feels like we're all playing Jenga on card tables in an earthquake zone.)
Oh, and classes... right... need to take some of the classes.
Now where's this "Mesh" stuff that Draxtor and Reed keep jizzing about?
Every now and then, I like to sneak away from the pack and just enjoy a good story...
Ah, Seanchai... such a nice place to rest, lay back, close my eyes, and listen.
(If you're wondering, I should be back there on December 27th for a post-Christmas 100 word story nightmarepalooza. Get your coffee machines ready!)
Looks like some folks are taking the 2011 Crap Awards stunt seriously.
*shrug* Silly people.
Hrm... where did that post with the explanation and reveal go...
Not there?
Weird.
Not in drafts either.
Strange as hell.
I'd better write it up again, I guess.
Until then, I'm sure there will be more folks reading Botgirl's site and freaking out when all they're doing is expanding their scope of observing the great debate on identity and authenticity in the 21st Century through retro lenses.
Laren's tonight?
Yeah, I've got material, but I need to get some stuff done today.
Didn't make it to the grocery store yesterday, so I'll get my haircut and grocery run done on the way home.
Then, the list of chores, delayed by a minor leak in the pipes yesterday that ended up soaking the living room carpet.
Thrum... thrum... thrum... the fan blasting and the cats complaining.
Oh well.
Lauren's got plenty of people lined up for the stage anyway. No need to hog the spotlight, eh.
I'm looking forward to the widespread condemnations of Iranians attacking the British embassy after the relative silence and mumbled approval of the Egyptians attacking the Israeli embassy.
Ah, hypocrisy... the true nature of humans.
*blech*
Despite the fact that I've been scribbling up a weak story or two a day, I'm still not back into the routine yet. These stories just aren't clicking and sparking up scenes for me... just placeholders, not peeks into the many worlds behind the wall of imagination... facets of the crazy diamond kaleidoscope.
Here's hoping Burke's creations park some meaningful and useful vignettes and scenes. I really want to see the concept spread.
Folks taking Catherine the Greatly Disturbed seriously?
Pfffft. *sigh* Her site's flypaper for idiots, eh.
Swim through all the jealousy and rancor and paranoia and conspiracies and you might find a penny at the end of the sewer.
(But these days, I doubt it.)
Oh well. Better there than here, right?
Doc said her heart was breaking after hearing Barney and Flo were putting Show and Tell to rest.
So, I sent her a new one.
(I really need to get with Burke on this project... AVATARS NEED HEARTS, DANG IT!)
Maybe I should just create a primmy blingy trophy and put it up on Marketplace for people to give themselves Crap Awards?
They can hold their silly little ceremonies, capture it in Fraps or whatever, dress their av up all pretty. and make a show of it.
(Just as long as they leave me out of it and let me nap in peace.)

Reading the headlines, Patrice O'Neil died today.
41. Fat as all hell, diabetic.
Stroked out 2 months ago, never recovered.
Dude had some funny moments on Colin Quinn's show, but Nick DiPaolo and others ran circles around him... maybe his bright spots got left in the Avid or something.
Ken Ober... Greg Giraldo... Patrice... did Comedy Central poison the food in the Green Room or something?
Never did get into Opie and Anthony. Or other NY-centric crap radio.
