WHAT IS THIS CRAP?

refusing to suffer fools since… since… when exactly did you get here?

The Day After

The Off-Ramp

Last chance to read something more interesting and meaningful before I start cracking skulls...

The backpedals begin... kinda... sorta...
... or you can just hire people you know and trust.

An open letter to Rodvik

We'll see if I add more today. Iggy had a good piece on recent events I gotta dig up.

Drop your pants, bend over, and get ready for an assload of the usual...

I'm not sure if I'm going to do the usual Wednesday story thing this afternoon. Too many thoughts, too many "Oh, have I been watching the YouTube videos for an hour?" moments.

the four

I'll post something to the group an hour or so before it... Taralyn offered that "Big Bed" set before, but not really in the mood for that. Maybe next week.

the bridge

I've written a few stories about what I was thinking during Nardo's long slow decline... they'll be released to the podcast queue over the next few days if I remember to get the queue reordered. (Writing it down on the NOT TO DON'T list.)

So if the story thing is going to happen this afternoon, yeah, it'll be cat stories.

But I'm not up for long conversations and banter and such.

Maybe I'll read them, but have the sound turned down, because at this point I'm mentally filtering a lot, processing a bit, and I've already had to temporarily mute a few folks who were getting pushy on things.

We'll see.

If not...

Baby panther

I'll tell a few to the cats in the park as I toss them the rest of the treats, maybe listen on the headphones for a bit to a few things.

effinjay

And remember.

Blogroll? Sure... okay... let's see...

It's been a while since he last posted, but Lalo Telling is another person to listen to when he does have something to say, whether it's a view on a recent change in policy to the history of various SL spaces.

How's that?

Homs, Syria's turning into an even worse hellhole.

I have my thoughts about this.

It's weird, walking around in the dark and thinking I might trip over him, but I won't... I might step in something, but I won't... it's okay... won't have to do an emergency last-minute scrub of the near-miss of the litterboxes or clean up a food bowl...

Feeling... relief more than loss? The guilt at that feeling? After four, you get a sense of what's right... how to cope... when to help them along and when to wait them out...

Gina says the crematorium now does wooden boxes with small nameplates on them, and she's thinking of having the other three velvet-bag-and-ashbox on the shelf "upgraded" to the wooden boxes.

Yes, we're going to upgrade our dead cats.

(If Callie Cline is listening, someone tell her there's money to be made in this.)

Not understanding Pinterest much yet.

I'm probably not the market for it.

Oh well. It'll be there when folks do find uses for it, right?

I didn't crash on Exodus at all yesterday, despite being on for extended periods of time.

I really hope that it's something that will survive any upgrade to Exodus, and it's not anything threatened by this change to TPV policy.

God forbid that a viewer that works for me ends up hamstrung and bugged-up because the Labbies insist that their full dirty tangled code be used as a base for the independent innovators.

You'd think I'd take a day off work.

Eh, we'll see if they throw my crazy ass out today.

About The Author

I am me. This causes some people significant discomfort and concern. To a rare few, it's an intolerable outrage. Good.

We were driving back from a hospital visit (family member starting the long decline, can I get a "fuck cancer" amen) when I read of Nardo's passing.. I didn't know how to explain why I was crying for a cranky Internet robot's cat to my partner.

Still, you did what had to be done. Have to admit the upgrade sounds nice.
