Duh.

The project started out long ago during the Copyright/Trademark blogger rules that Linden Lab threw at bloggers after so many years of actively encouraging the use of terms like Second Life and Linden Lab and SL.

Will Ross and I created the @SecondLie account on Twitter, recruited a bunch of folks to flood the zone, and it was madness ever since.

It started as a group project, based on the idea of Andy Kauffman and Bob Zmuda trading off playing the role of crude crooner Tony Clifton. The avatar look is a blatant rip-off of The Unknown Comic.

But over time, it devolved/evolved into a solo project.

I've tried to follow the following principles:

• Avoid profanity unless absolutely necessary.
• Try to spell properly.
• Occasionally engage readers and encourage funny memes.
• Avoid personal attacks when possible, but there are some people who deserve to get their throat punched.

Yeah, I've failed now and then, but it's funny, right?

Apparently, it's some kind of badge of honor at the Lab to get mocked by SecondLie.

Erm... that's just... weird.
